Did you know? Jellyfish are among the oldest multicellular organisms on Earth.
That's right... They're older than trees and older than dinosaurs.
I’ve always been drawn to the sea and its creatures. Their shapes, patterns, and colours are, to me, endlessly fascinating. Growing up in Cornwall, surrounded by the ocean, I developed a lifelong love of marine life. As someone deeply affected by colour, the vibrant, shifting palette underwater has always brought me a sense of peace and wonder.
So how do I draw connections between what I can offer you, and this silent wanderer?
Simplicity Wins
Despite having no brain, bones, heart or blood, jellyfish endure by relying on simple but effective systems. I cut through complexity in design processes, creating simple frameworks that work.
Thriving in Chaos
Jellyfish move with currents but can also pulse to steer themselves. I help design teams navigate the currents of the tech world, while still giving them agency to steer.
Adaptability
Jellyfish switch between polyp and medusa life stages depending on conditions. I help teams to shift modes, from exploration to delivery, from chaos to clarity, based on context.
Power in Fragility
They look delicate, but their tentacles can stretch for tens of metres and deliver powerful stings. I help small design teams have an outsized impact with the right structure and tools.
Immortality (Resilience)
The “immortal jellyfish” can reset its life cycle. I build resilience into teams so they can reset, regroup, and keep moving forward after setbacks.
